Deputy CEO, Operations & Governance at Information & eGovernment Authority. Dr. Khalid A. Almutawah has over two decades of experience in Information Technology, Educational Technology, and Governance. He previously served as Director of Governance and Enterprise Architecture and Director of Enterprise Architecture & Information Technology at iGA.
With expertise in management, quality assurance, data analysis, and research and academic services, Dr. Almutawah speaks frequently at top-level ICT conferences, most recently presenting a paper about the Bahraini government’s Cloud migration journey to Amazon Web Services at the Gartner Symposium, Dubai, UAE. Dr. Almutawah also has education and training experience, working with the University of Bahrain and the National Authority for Qualifications and Quality Assurance of Education & Training (QQA).
He holds a Diploma in Leadership and Management Skills from the Chartered Institute of Management and a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice from York St. John College. Dr Almutawah earned a PhD in Data Mining and Business Intelligence, Business Information Systems from Monash University, a Master’s degree in E-Commerce from the University of Essex, and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Bahrain.
