Dr. Hesham Al Ammal
Dr. Hesham Al-Ammal received a BSc in Computer Engineering from King Fahad University of Petroleum and Minerals and an MSc Degree in Computer Science from Louisiana State University in 1993. He completed his PhD in Computer Science at the University of Warwick, Coventry, in 2000.
Dr. Hesham was the Chair of the Computer Science Department (2003-2007), then Director of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center (2009-2011) and Dean of the College of Information Technology (2011-2017). He is currently the chair of the BENEFIT Advanced Artificial Intelligence and Computing Lab, a High-Performance Computing lab dedicated to machine learning and AI applications at the University of Bahrain.
His teaching and research interests include algorithms, cyber-security, and machine learning.
