iGA CE Al Qaed praises Digital Initiatives and AI Apps Showcased by Public and Private Sectors locally and internationally at Comex Bahrain

Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) Chief Executive, Mohammed Ali Al Qaed praised projects showcased at COMEX Bahrain exhibition. Held under the patronage of His Excellency General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, the Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Ministerial Committee for Information and Communication Technology (MCICT), the event was organized by OITE Exhibitions in parallel with the 10th Bahrain International eGovernment Forum, hosted by the iGA from 9th to 11th October 2023 at Exhibition World Bahrain.
Al Qaed extended his appreciation to the exhibitors, commending the digital solutions and artificial intelligence (AI) apps showcased by the government, civil society, and Bahraini and international startups, as well as the pavilions of Oman, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, the United States, East Asian countries and others. He said that these initiatives are remarkable technological solutions that foster creativity and innovation.He underscored the impact and importance of ministries and government entities showcasing digital projects at the exhibition, acknowledging their efforts to align with the government's aspirations to keep pace with the latest ICT developments and leverage them to enhance government performance, service quality, and system efficiency. This has resulted in a rise in the quality of services, which are now delivered to the public in record speed.
The iGA’s pavilion showcased the Technical Development Program, a major strategic project aimed at developing the skills of Bahraini youth with technical specializations as well as researchers working in the ICT sector. Also presented were several government initiatives, such as the Building Permits Approval System (BENAYAT), planning.bh, and the project for developing infrastructure and government network.
COMEX Bahrain attracted a wide range of ICT pavilions, including ministries and government entities. The exhibition reflects the Kingdom's regional and international standing in creating an environment conducive to investments and encouraging the continued attraction of global companies operating in the sector.
Al Qaed thanked all the partners, organizers, and attendees, as well as exhibitors from both the public and private sectors and those visiting from outside the Kingdom who helped make the event a success.
