Dr. Abdelrahman Al Mahmoud
Dr. Al Mahmoud is the Principal Cloud and Big Data Researcher at the Technology Innovation Institute (TII) and a Governing Board Member at the Robotics and Automation Society in the UAE.
Dr. Al Mahmoud has been a researcher for nearly 12 years, covering topics such as Big Data analytics paradigms, privacy-preserving analytics/machine learning, cyber security, and robotics. He has also served in the Artificial Intelligence department within the Prime Minister’s Office as an Advisor/Head of Research and Infrastructure.
Dr. Al Mahmoud is an active member of the steering committee for the UAE’s ISO SC42 working group on AI, and a technical committee member of the Digital School initiative, which falls under the umbrella of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives. He is a former member of the UAE Youth Science Council and a former Sub-Committee member of the 11th edition of the Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences, with a strong focus on AI in Medicine.
